Postman’s Bike

Athboy’s Men’s Shed repaired & renovated an old Postman’ style bike & generously donated it to Athboy Tidy Towns.

We sited it on the Main Street outside what used to be the town’s Post Office.

In appreciation of all the support that the Men’s Shed gives ATT, we were delighted to present them with a suitable time piece for their new kitchen.

The rotten barrel on Connaught Street was replaced by a planter made by John & Stevie of Athboy’s Men’s Shed – June 2026.

The existing planter had rotted badly and was replaced by a new one built by the Athboy Men’s Shed.

A very well received talk by, ecologist Dr Donna Mullen, at the St James Hall was made on 23 March 2026.

The theme was “Making your home a nature reserve” and the many questions asked showed the interest in the subject.

Many thanks to our Community Person of the Year, Lily Mangan, for introducing the talk.
