Athboy Tidy Towns & other Athboy Community groups had a very successful evening at the Kells District Pride of Place awards at the Headfort Hotel on 14 October 2025.

Best Large town: Athboy
Heritage award: Athboy Heritage Trail
Community Age Friendly: Elderfest
Community Wellbeing: Clann na nGael Meath Healthy Club
Medium Housing Estate: Joint winners: Meadowlands & Priory Gate
Apartment Complex: Millview/Branmount
Small Housing Estate: Yellow Ford
Athboy was successful in winning awards in the Best Heritage category (the Heritage Trail project) and the Best Apartment Complex (Branmount/Millview).
Athboy Tidy Towns were delighted to have retained the Silver medal award and winning the Local Authority Pollinator Award for Midlands & East (Small town category).
For the past few years, ATT have been sourcing native Irish fruit trees & gifting them to local schools, associations & families in order to build a town-wide fruit tree orchard to encourage birds & insects to the area. These photos are a selection of plantings done in October 2024.
