Some Heritage signs renewed – May 2026
Our own Mary Flood guested at the Trim Library to give a talk on setting up a Communual Garden.
Supervalu Tidy Towns Gold Medal presentation by Minister of Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire on 13th April 2026.
New planter by Garda Station
The existing planter had rotted badly and was replaced by a new one built by the Athboy Men’s Shed.
Conservation in Action
A very well received talk by, ecologist Dr Donna Mullen, at the St James Hall was made on 23 March 2026.
The theme was “Making your home a nature reserve” and the many questions asked showed the interest in the subject.

We are delighted that our own Lily Mangan was chosen to be the Athboy Community Person of the Year.
Everyone agrees it is a well deserved honour.
Athboy Tidy Towns was delighted to take part in planting an Oak tree in the Cowpark for National Tree Week, kindly donated by Tom Flood & La Cheile Credit Union – March 2026.
