Oaks for Hope – 16 October 2021
This project was an opportunity for families that had a new born during the Covid period to plant an oak sapling to mark the happy occasion & to make a statement that a fruitful future will always be there.
Oak Tree Planting in Cowpark
To celebrate the births of local babies born during the pandemic, we are inviting parents and guardians to plant and adopt an oak tree in the Cowpark. The plantation will take place at 11am on two Saturdays: 16 October 2021 and 23 October 2021. The oaks have been grown from acorns and are between one and two years old. The aim of the project is to foster a love of trees in our children and their parents. There are a limited number of oaks, so please book your tree with any member of the Athboy Tidy Towns, through the social media channels or by phoning Mary directly on 0868867455.The oak saplings have been gifted to Athboy Tidy Towns by Helen McCormack and Gary McMahon.
